Library

The Society maintains a collection of around 80 books on various aspects of the earth sciences at its meeting place in the Ore Centre along with copies of the Society's publications. The library is only open during meeting times when members may consult the books and publications or borrow them for private study.

It is hoped that in the near future we will be able to extend our library collection to include some electronic media, notably CD ROM's and DVD's that have been contibuted to HDGS or prepared by our own members. For example, Gordon Elder is in the process of putting back issues of the HDGS Journal onto CD ROMs and Ken Brooks is preparing DVD's of some of our Sunday presentations that have been videorecorded.
